Media Cabinet

Everything Now Design was commissioned to build an elegant yet highly functional media cabinet for the London home of a games designer. Anchoring the living area, the piece offers a clear focal point while maintaining a light footprint—essential in a London apartment with space at a premium.
Our aim was to introduce warmth and tactility to the white-walled and melamine-lined modern apartment.. We chose solid British oak to root the project in its locale and introduced a reeded finish that references the bamboo garden where the owner spent many happy hours during their childhood.
The single-plank oak top offers a functional surface, while the underside houses eight discreet electric sockets and four interconnected compartments to keep multiple consoles and controllers neatly organised.
This centrepiece established the material palette and detailing language that guided subsequent design decisions throughout the rest of the property.
